Benefits of Powder Coating

In comparsion to most liquid coatings, powder coating is durable and long lasting. It retains excellent hardness and abrasion impact. Coatings can be easily formulated for specific applications making powder coating suitable for a wide range of products. Coatings can be resistant to prolonged sun exposure as well as other corrosive environments including those with high salt content. The coatings special ability to form to the product after coating promotes high durability and resistance to chipping.

Due to less process variation, there is more consistency in the products color and appearance.

Powder coating also allows for a wide range of color selection.

Go Green! Powder Coating is environmentally friendly unlike solvent based paints.

Most Common Types of Powder Coating

Epoxy - Excellent corrosion resistance, adhesion and hardness for lasting durability. Can be formulated to be FDA compliant for food contact applications. Available in both functional and decorative coatings.

Epoxy/Polyester Hybrid - Shares similar properties with standard epoxy coatings. Less Susceptible to yellowing when cured. Due to poor weatherability, it is unsuitable for prolonged outdoor use.

Polyester/Urethane - Smooth, thin film with excellent mar and chip resistance. Also, has excellent weatherability. These coatings are generally resistance to diluted acids, hydrocarbons, grease, and oil.

Polyester/TGIC - Excelent Mar and chip resistance as well as corrosion resistance and weatherability. Excellent edge coverage.
